{Meow meow meow, *ahem*}
Standing at the edge, the night’s moaning low
The sound of waves crashing, his hands deep in his coat
Takes out a smoke, flicks his lighter bright
Eyes glancing at his watch, he’s sure the time is right
And so he takes a drag and leans back with a sigh
And then his angel does appear right before his eyes
She says, “My light will guide you, just follow the way”
He murmurs, “I’m afraid the stars already had their say”
Again, deep in his pocket, he feels the fabric worn
And pulls out old reminders of the past that he had torn
He stared at her blue eyes like neon in the night
She whispered in between tears, “you ain’t lost, you can have more time”
He draws in nice and slow, and exhales with a smile
Houdini in a puff of smoke, like clouds across the sky
She quivers as the ember smolders right between his lips
Regretfully she does unclasp the watch around his wrist
And then it goes up burning, smoldering in her hand
Ashen glimmers rising, as it disappeared like sand
She whispers “i love yew,” to whom she couldn’t say
He takes his last drag, and then he blows away
