Ernie440 Glad you liked .. here's something you can practice old school funk bass to, should do it myself more.

Aito It would be good to play songs made by others. I play so many Wikiloops songs that I've forgotten to practice real songs. I haven't tried to play more than individual songs from Skid row, Black Sabbath or Ningen isu.

Especially Ningen isu´s Catepillar song is something that I've been trying play. Terrible song, but I like the bass. Maybe one day I'll learn it. :)

Ernie440 they're like a Japanese band .. that has a nice beat to it .. just found it on YT .. that is a good rock tune to learn. :) Nice bass and lead. I was thinking Pink Floyd's money is a bass classic not too hard but has some cool lines and nice changes ... used to jam that a lot many years ago. :O

Aito Yes.. Japanese band. I accidentally found it when I was playing all sorts of things. I liked a few of their songs because I'd like to learn to play blues-based heavy metal myself.

On the other hand, many times I've found great basses from bands that I would never listen to. However, I believe that the best basses can be found in old bands, they are more relaxed.
Relaxed is a bad word, I don't know the right one. But I mean a little bit of your playing style, where the bass flows smoothly back and forth.
