This is totally cool. I can totally get into it, the passion, the enthusiasm, you're totally on the same wavelength and it makes you feel great . I love jamming, I haven't experienced anything in a long time, I miss it, but I've had a lot of great musical experiences and such unconventional ones as a jam with a dulcimer group. Really great:W:W:D

Thanks! Dulcimer group? Interesting. The weirdest thing I did was jamming with sax and trumpet players :D But it was as a drummer, as a guitar player the weirdest for me must have been with a double bass player :) Otherwise I almost only played with drummers and bassists. I miss those jams too, the last time was in 2021 I think, in between lockdowns and before those infamous vaccine mandates :@

The dulcimer group was amazing they played folk songs and then cut out Led zepelin, dulcimers, fiddles , contarabas, drums totally original and a great experience for me to play with them. I don't even remember when I did a good jam with someone, not everyone has the feel for it, there are a lot of musicians who are great with their instruments, but to be able to jam with someone is only for the real ones with a feel for music.

When I was working at a library, we used to organize jam sessions every month or so, and sometimes it was a real mess :D But as a whole I have very good memories, and some jams were really cool with my former bands especially. Love jamming with a drummer! But yes, it's hard to find people who like jamming, usually they want to cover the same tracks over and over again :(

That's accurate, a lot of people think it's about playing a theme over and over again, But when two musicians are tuned to the same wave, it works, they both feel what's coming and it's always good music,I hope the google translator is understandable:W:D

Yes it's understandable, I agree with what you said, but I was talking about the fact most people want to do covers instead of jamming, they want to perform live as soon as possible and doing covers is a way of getting a setlist fast, but to me it's just boring, I like exploring, experimenting, I like the freedom of jamming, playing the same tracks over and over again is almost like a job, music has always been a way of escaping that job attitude, it's a breath of fresh air.

Oh, I see. What you write is a lot of what we've been writing about, you can control your instrument perfectly, but if you don't have the feel you're just left to play covers or whatever anyone tells you. When you have good players around you, creative with feeling, then jamming and creating repertoire is a fun and great thing. I used to play in a couple of bands like that, where the guitarist starts something, gradually the others join in and it becomes a spontaneous song, it's a great thing.:D:W
