I listened again from a different computer and the guitar is definitely present. I'm playing the exact same chords and accents as Marc.
The guitar is panned slightly left of center. Clearly audible to me.
Perhaps my mix blended too well? Which would be an accomplishment for me and my mixing skills:D +1

That's what I thought might be the case as said initially. You're so close in sound/timbre that it's not distinguishable.
