From the days when being a reporter was an honest endeavor. Cheers! I’ll be over here with my whiskey sour and bad attitude. Bye.

:-) I was recently told, after a second smoking audition for a band, that I know too much to play with the band. What the fuck does that mean?

Well, at 48 I have just recently discovered the tranquility and benefits of classical background music

I think that means you’re above their level and it would be weird for them having you around lol

OMG, I made a personal career out of Windham Hill CD's in the 80's, lol. Try Holst's "The Planets" - Jupiter was a favorite of mine. I listened endlessly to classical, it's absolute magic!

http://www.aquarianage.org/lore/holst.html I looked this up and listened to a bit on iTunes. This is quite the rabbit hole

I didn’t intend to bring up this midi version with the new age commentary about Uranus. I had never heard of Windham Hill or the Planets album from Holst. What’s the best version to hear?

I'm not sure what's the best version, orchestras vary I guess. Windham Hill was a New England/US based label for classical radio stations. I had all the greats, mostly because I was poor and those CD's were usually in the $2 rack, so it was stuff to listen to. I liked the Holst works because they had booming drum sounds.
