New Beginnings (A song of Gratitude
Getting back in the creative saddle after a brief health setback...please forgive any errors
A new beginning, I'm weaker but wiser
Humbled by fortune, I'm not sure I deserve.
Yesterday's singing, reduced to a whisper,
Softer with each moon, as I tap my reserve.
Eternally thankful, and grateful for angels...
that spread their wings, to guide me back home
My vision grows stronger, clearer and brighter
And harbor lights bring, a comforting tone
It's a rare time we celebrate that today's not ...

Hey Gerry , sorry to hear you’ve not been well but glad you’re recovering.Love your words.I had to have a section of my gut removed eight years ago after a cancerous tumor was discovered but thanks to the skill of the surgeons and the grace of god I am free of it .I still give thanks for each new day I am privileged to enjoy .When I see people complaining that it’s Monday and they have to go to work I think they don’t know how lucky they are that they are able ! Hope you get your singing voice back soon.<3

Thanks Mike, I'm glad you made it through that ordeal to share your wonderful music with us my friend. I coudn't agree more about the privilege of life, it takes something like that to really appreciate it, that I found out after opening my eyes after my surgery, the odds were against me surviving but someone had another plan I guess. A new beginning I've been blessed with for sure. <3

Last verse....
A new beginning, a welcoming prarie
A wide open range to ride and explore
The angels are with us and times aren't as scary
With wind 'neath our wings, we need nothing more +2

I'm having health setbacks too. Can't sing or blow at the mo.
Your song is a beautiful reminder. I have another verse for you. Thank you. <3
We need nothing more, all has been given
Just to turn towards what we really need
Always waiting with arms open wide
To simply remember is grace indeed +2

By the way, your song inspired me to write that verse (it's the first time I've felt like it for a while, so many thanks, and please don't feel obliged to include it with your lyrics, it's just my way of saying thank you.)

I'm glad it inspired you, think it will be a while before I'm able to find my old voice but if and when I do I'll definitely include your verse, there's nothing more rewarding than any words of inspiration, thanks again <3

A very gentle track that (possibly) reflects your current state of mind. Very creative and I certainly enjoyed the odd bit of polyrhythmic references in this.
