I have to try and control myself here, I could literally write out 7 or 8 pages with various gifs and proclamations/timestamps etc. We are going to skip that because this is basically a perfect add! The completely insane angle is checked with the live audio from the chicken coop, including the various ways the chickens sounded at the various intervals, just brilliant. I almost passed out I was laughing so hard at the chickens. The main jam is on another level, i'm really in love with the Maidenesque harmonies. 5:23 I love that sound. 5:04 lol Hey this is a special mega mega ultra jam, I love everything about it, and this is very satisfying, results like this are exactly why I want to play bass. Sure nobody but us will ever hear it, but making this music is like eating our own cooking. I don't even listen to music anymore outside of Wikiloops. I actually find it distracting when trying to make original basslines. Last week I listened to a favorite tune, and I was having trouble making a bassline because I kept wanting to play the bassline from the tune I was listening to. If I went with that it surely would have been plagiarism! +1

Well Dirk...I really have to thank you. Just like my hero up there "Jeremiah Johnson" I fell like I have been wondering the mountains lost for a spell. Your awesome basslines and more importantly friendship has helped me start to find my way down off of that mountain.<3 The music is awesome to make...but for me without some level of friendship and connection I feel like the soul is lost. I have been in and out of music my entire life...usually out of it when the soul of it is missing.
You are an awesome player with..but I think more than that. This right here... "Sure nobody but us will ever hear it, but making this music is like eating our own cooking"....a brilliant insight, this is why I admire you;) You can "Jam Out" but you also give perspective and context to the music and life. I could go on and on...sometimes I a guilty of not using "Brevity"...LOL
Holidays are here...some downtime...more fun to come:D +1

I'm jumping for joy because there are few moments in my life where I see that someone fully understands and accepts something I had tried to foster. Building some level of comradery over the internet is difficult, and takes longer to occur because a level of comfort and trust requires months if not years. Until that trust and comfort exists, and there is a familiarity musically, Wikiloops indeed does function like a cheap speed dating site. Swipe left, swipe right. Transactional, cold, stark, indifferent. Of course after we strut our stuff like birds in the Amazon puffing out feathers to advertise their utility to a mate, we do eventually find mates.
This is when why we do any of this matters. Human connection via emotions transmitted in music, and comradery are rewarding natural motivations which withstand the test of time. A sense that other people actually like and care about your music takes convincing; repeated collaborations, and signals of genuine acceptance into a team, over time prove it.
In other words, the music is a vehicle to connection and a fostered sense of belonging, which is the final product. A sense of belonging where you earned your place fair and square. People who think music is the final product are transactional, and missing the point. Those are the ones who disappear one day and never return. +1
