I wanted to thank you for taking the time to work with my music. This is a difficult piece that was created extemporaneously with a friend of mine on guitar. Neither of us knew what the other was going to play and it was interesting to see how themes developed and expanded. You can hear the moments when the oud and guitar are completely enchained, almost telepathically, and other moments when the focus waned as we struggled to find our way. The mysterious duende comes as it will. If I may make some suggestions, considering the somewhat ethereal harmonics and plucked instruments, it might be cool to try a dreamy legato bowing for the guitar and oud to float upon. Also, this style typically moves stepwise exploring different note centers along way. I think the scale I used is mostly Hijaz from the Arabic maqam, or system of melodic modes. Thanks again for your interest!
