Ah Peter. Wonderful as you always do<3
I experimented with your experiment and tried listening to the mix thru two different headphones that I use on all my tracks. My conclusion with both was that the dynamic of the drums seems high on the more aggressive parts of the drum track but perfect on the less aggressive parts.
I hope that makes sense and is of help.
Love how you handled my ending notes. I was concerned (trying to think from a drummers perspective) if I played it in time/flow of the song. Because by that point in the song my click track had stopped clicking:) Sounds like I got it right!
thanks Peter:) +2

Thanks Frankie makes perfect sense my friend, I felt I may need more than 1 take to get the feel and dynamics on song, you are a click track by yourself :W:)

Your feel for the song is spot on to my ear. The dynamic seems to be more a technical thing.
I deal with same issue on solos. One note or a combination of notes sometimes jump out in intensity. I try to use compression or limiting to address the issue but I'm still learning:) +1

Agree with Wade. I just think your drums are a bit ahead of the mix. A more rear presence would underline the general sweetness. I find your syncopated play great <3

I'm intrigued by your blurb. It's screwed up thanks to....
Not your intention I'm sure. Creating meaningful fine drum tracks is where you're at! +0
