This is my first Wikiloops remix. I finally felt comfortable with my technique to do so, yay. Beyond the aural substance that the bass adds, I thought I could add some subtle tension and foreboding sense to this amazing tune by choosing a contrasting, fast-plucked bassline without it being very loud so as to retain the subtlety. I hope it works. I'm not very happy with the end but did so many takes I want to wrap it up.

Joyscoop Thank you :)
As I progress in learning the instrument, I have a list of other amazing tunes to remix...

Wikiloops is a very welcoming and creative community, I'm glad to be (finally an active) part of it.

Joyscoop Thank you Shi, appreciated :). The piece is so evocative to me, I couldn't help it - I could -intrusively!- imagine the bass so I said "why not just give it a go and see how it sounds?". +0

Joyscoop Thanks... although I'll definitely redo this at some point. After hearing it some days after recording I realized there's too much "zinging" and more timing errors than I'd consider acceptable. +1

Joyscoop Thank you... but as a matter of fact I intend to redo this at some point. Many timing errors and too much fret noise due to badly controlled hammer-ons. I do like the line though so it's going to be the same :) +1
