Funk-a-licious
Not sure if I've really got the mood and feel of this right, no matter I had a lot of fun. I really love playing with just bass and drums. Thanks to WD and Tof for the opportunity to join in.

Thanks so much Shi. So much fun for me to take the sopranino for a spin on this type of track. So glad you like.

Again a wonderful comment from you. I'm most pleased if my sound/style is my own. So many fine sax players out there, but they seem to all want to sound like some dead sax hero instead of themselves. It's a wonderfully versatile instrument and can do and say so much more than repeating what others have already done.

Cheers Tu. You ready to mix it up in Germany? I'm getting anxious...too many months to wait, will arthritis make it so I can't play? Will I live that long? Ugh...old people's gripes...better not go there!

Cool, new ways! The self-confident sopranino is shining bright and inserts a Gershwinesk funky gloss...

Gershwin is indeed an important influence. Confidence is also OK...as long as it doesn't go to the head? Cheers CI Section.

Great tone and phrasing Wade, very unique, you made me appreciate the sopranino and its potential in new and unexpected ways, and I like the story told by the bass and the drums, too!

Thanks so much Bluesdog. That's a really wonderful compliment. I can't ask for more than to sound like myself. Too may sax players seem to be striving to sound like some long dead sax hero...why? Thanks.
