Heya, as you know i am not behind my keys, we arrived in Spain today.
The pre-chorus could be played in line with the chords i played.
From F and a half down until the C
Or play a line with the additional tones of the chords! (I’m no bassplayer)
The Fmaj9 got an E and G added to the F chord so you can choose a F, A, C, E or G. Than you are save! :) (there are more possibilities though)
My way to go would be analysing wich tones belongs to the chord and what are the additional tones that makes the chord interesting!
Changing the groundtone (basstone) can change the chord that was played on the keys or other chordal instrument!
Your ears are great too, so trust your instinct and follow that!
