No It's based on the native american flute of course the flute I play don't sound like de real native american flutes. They Had no tuning as the flutes that are made today, they are adapted so you can play with thogether with other instuments. They have a Pentatonic scales. In the picture you see an example of an old flute. The flutes consisted of two parts that were glued together with resin and held together with leather strips.
The dimensions of the flute and position of the holes was as follows:
Inside drilling: the thickness of a man's thumb.
Length of the whistle: the forearm length (from elbow to the end of the fingers).
Place first hole at the top: From the labium (square hole) right hand of a man around the flute.
Between sizes the following holes: the first phalange of an index finger.
Four holes around: the left hand of a man around the flute these were the voice holes (the four cardinal points)
That gave a flute between a G and a F. Today you can buy differn't tunings a,b,c,d,e,f# g Minor and there ar manny flutemakers that make wonderful flutes

interesting the large number of types of flutes that exist.
I had a band of folk music where I played percussion and I learned a bit about these wind instruments, in this case our band occupied quenas, quenachos and zampoñas, it is incredible how they have to square the winds and the work that needs to be done in general so that the arrangements are impeccable. Thank you for your information;)<3:D +0
