Gaddzooks!
A bit of a tough one from Ark on the 'what to play' front. He said '70s/'80s so that's where my mind initially went - I was thinking something prog-like but it just didn't work. It was just messy. I listened to WD's add to make sure anything I did wasn't messing with his excellent work.
Then it occurred to me that the verse sections might suit something Steve Gadd-style. I wanted to stay away from wheeling out the ubiquitous 'Fifty ...

I like the fluid rolling thunder of the first part and those tricky rhythmic changes are perfect in the second half.
