Thanks..I am actually using a tenor sax reed on the alto..a bit different sound, a bit tricky to manage..practice :)

Musically it's saying that you're not playing "the changes" (a good thing IMHO), but instead accenting from outside angles. A very progressive and musically advanced way to play.
